Hot Mikado
Auditions for "Hot Mikado", Aldersgate Church Community Theater's (ACCT) 2008 summer musical production, will take place on Tuesday, May 13th from 7:00pm - 10:00pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Drive, Alexandria, VA. “Hot Mikado” is just what it sounds like – a swinging, jazzed-up version of the original “The Mikado”, the 19th century operetta by Sir William Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan that was their greatest hit and the biggest musical comedy sensation of the Victorian era.
Casting for male principle roles of Ko-Ko, Pooh-Bah, Nanki-Poo, and 3 female ensemble roles. No appointments. Come ready to sing a prepared 16-20 bar vocal selection, and dress to move for a dance audition. Please bring conflicts from May 14 – July 13, 2008, a recent photo, and a list of theater and/or performance credits and experience. Performance dates are June 20 – July 12, 2008.
